1) With language like: “Kevin Shapiro, … first tried a hookah at a campus party” your seriously leading us to believe your discussing some serious drugs, a long the lines of heroin or cocaine even.

2) “The newest front in the ever-shifting war on Tabaco” There is not-a-thing evenly remotely new about college students and young adults smoking hookah. This has been going on for decades- seriously, decades.

3) “The smoke inhaled can equal 100 cigarettes or more” while only siting this fact with a link to a 20 page PDF document issued by the World Health Organization.

Is this a position piece or a hard fact piece because it sounds liked you had an agenda and wrote convincingly with disregard for the real facts.

Hi Douglas,

I know this article is primarily on latisse, but I saw you mentioned that “Propecia is taken once daily), and does not seem to cause reactions in people who are allergic to minoxidil.”

But this severely downplays the side effects of finasteride. Please reference the story and website below:

I hope that in the future, if you choose to write about hairloss, that you include some of the dangers of Propecia (finasteride) in your article.

I work at a middle school where Facebook and MySpace drama runs rampant. Why is it not a reality show yet? Because it’s an absolute pain to deal with the fallout from wall postings. In addition, most drama (excluding adult couples feuding on their profiles) comes from teenagers who fight over and rebel against the dumbest issues known to man.

Case in point: This year some of our girls on student council launched a mass protest against the school dresscode via Facebook. The upside: It actually worked. At least 20 girls participated. The downside: their reasoning. “They can’t do anything if we ALL wear hot pants to school!” Needless to say, there were many young ladies cramming the nurse’s office waiting for legging deliveries from their parents.

Since online networking sites allows commenters the illusion of annonimity and invulnerability, I don’t think it will ever produce something more intellectual than hormonal ramblings.

… I take it back. MTV or Fox would pick that reality show up in a second.

Tweens are in a very specific age range (10-12) pre-teens tended to confuse the issue with their single-digit ages being thrown in there. Makes it easier to market things like lip gloss.
